Welcome to FM Oakland!

For February & March of 2025, FM Oakland is proud to host the works by Reese Wallace in his latest collection entitled, “On Memory.” On Memory explores memory as a physical thing or place affected by time and the weathering effects of our current circumstances. Anecdotes and memoir inform mimetic mark-making to preserve the fragile moments that would otherwise be lost to entropy. The images are informed by early age exposure to Christian nationalism and rural Americana juxtaposed with my own queer identity and politics.

What's FM Oakland?

FM Oakland is a gallery and private studio space of 10 professional Bay Area artists in the ever thriving Oakland "Uptown" Arts District. We open our doors weekly for Saturday Stroll (1-5pm every Saturday), monthly during Art Murmur (5-9pm first Friday of every month), for gallery receptions, and appointment.
