CINTHIA LOZANO
Arte Con Alma / Arte Amaya
Cinthia Marisol Lozano is a queer writer, interdisciplinary artist and innovator currently living in Oakland, California, the unseeded land of the Ohlone People. They are a first generation child born on Native Tongva land from Central American walkers, land of the Maya Lenca and Pipil. The ephemeral and ritual guide their artistic voice, as they seek to create pieces that reflect gratitude, prayer, curiosity and metamorphosis. They aspire to grow conscious art that positively impacts, inspires and empowers. The art they embody is informed through the relationships they form with their soul self, nativity, identity, health, community, and the environment. The actions they participate in and the art they create represent the connections that are being weaved. In both their life and art practice, they strive toward manifesting a balanced understanding of purpose and intention; they are constantly seeding their destiny in this world.
