Yarnold - “Creative Horizons” September 6th, – October 26st, 2024
For September and October we are featuring a show of recent paintings by Katie Yarnold entitled Creative Horizons. " Creative Horizons pays tribute to creators, makers, and doers in a series of portraits of artists from Oakland to Okinawa. From urban California dancers to chefs in rural Japan, these works celebrate creative expression in all its forms. The portraits are a collaboration between the painter and the artist-subject, making them part self-portraiture. Each piece contains elements such as landscapes, flora, and fauna that are meaningful to the painter and/or the subject. As you’re viewing the paintings, think about which elements speak to you and which artists you’d like to learn more about. Enjoy these little windows into the world of the artist."
