Andrew Kjera
We visit the carnival even though we understand that the entertainment is a sham and the games won’t be fair or winnable.
This show is part of my response to people I have seen and heard. Beginning years ago, much of the country has been laminated by shocking layers of disinformation. As a result, this place has been converted into a grand, dark carnival where tricksters, fortune tellers and perjurers bewitch us.
In this carnival, we wander the midway. Disillusionment can eventually overtake us as we absorb all of the sights and the sounds. For many, this will be followed by suspicion, delusions and eventually regret.
Within the noise and confusion, some of our personal demons have been allowed to become more public. They now circle the crowd with confident visibiltiy.
